“No Approval from Hermione: Emma Watson Shines as a Burlesque Performer in the Latest Perks of Being a Wallflower Preview”

Achieving worldwide fame as the innocent Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, Emma Watson is now eager to tackle more mature roles in her latest project. In the newly released trailer for Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower, the 22-year-old actress sizzles on screen as a seductive burlesque dancer. Check out the trailer below to see Emma’s steamy new role.

Switching things up from her role in Harry Potter, Emma Watson is captivating as a burlesque dancer in the preview for The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Emma confessed that she felt a bit anxious about stepping into the challenging role. In the movie, she portrays Sam, a carefree individual who captures the heart of the socially awkward teenager Charlie, portrayed by Logan Lerman, known for his role as d’Artagnan in the previous year’s film The Three Musketeers.

She is depicted as energetically dancing at the homecoming dance, enjoying a ride in a convertible with the wind blowing through her hair, and performing in a provocative burlesque outfit on what appears to be a school stage during the preview.
Although she exudes a carefree attitude, it is evident that her cheerful demeanor is just a facade. In one scene, she questions the protagonist Charlie about why she and her loved ones always end up with people who mistreat them.

Sam and Patrick extend a warm welcome to Charlie as he joins their social circle in the movie adaptation of Stephen Chbosky’s novel from 1999, which stirred up some controversy due to its portrayal of drugs, homosexuality, and teenage culture. The plot centers around Charlie, a loner teen starting at a new high school without any friends or social skills. He finds mentorship from senior student Sam and her stepbrother Patrick. Charlie is captivated by Sam, who becomes his primary love interest and a romantic ideal for the inexperienced adolescent. Emma felt some apprehension about the transition to edgier material, confessing her nervousness at the MTV Movie Awards, describing it as a challenging experience.

Competition: Sam is very popular among the other boys, so Emma must have really impressed everyone with her charm to have landed the role.
